2016 Pastors’ Retreat

“HPW recognizes the importance of the local church in Kingdom work. We understand that pastors often have no one with whom they can share their hurts, hopes, and struggles.”

Wisdom. Check. “So be careful to do what the Lord you God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or the left. Walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.” Deuteronomy 5:32-33 May we not veer. Straight paths in Him can’t be...

“Sometimes we struggle with trusting God. Our struggle comes not because He has changed, but rather because we have forgotten that He loves us.”

“Many people find it ludicrous to believe that a perfect God would be willing to send His perfect Son to die for the sins of imperfect people. But that’s exactly what He did!”

Don’t lose Heart!

“Therefore we do not lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”  2 Co. 4:16-17 Some days are just tough.  Everything seems to be against us. But what an incredible reminder by Paul in Corinthians. We are given strength, endurance, and best of all, hope for eternity. Don’t forsake the eternal reward awaiting because of today’s pain. Learn to see your troubles as opportunities! Toughen Up.  Dust off.  Pray for God’s Endurance. He will renew us, day by day. Hunt.Share.Live   server information proxy server...

“There is always at least one activity that seems to be the epitome of what makes our work unbearable.
But God did not create work to be punishment…”

Forever. “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does- comes not from the Father but from the world.  The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”   1 John 2:15-17 What lasts forever? Well, the man who does the will of God. Does your life focus on the will of God?  If not, think differently today. All the things of this world will pass away. Only the things of Christ will last.
