Don’t lose Heart!

“Therefore we do not lose heart.  Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”  2 Co. 4:16-17 Some days are just tough.  Everything seems to be against us. But what an incredible reminder by Paul in Corinthians. We are given strength, endurance, and best of all, hope for eternity. Don’t forsake the eternal reward awaiting because of today’s pain. Learn to see your troubles as opportunities! Toughen Up.  Dust off.  Pray for God’s Endurance. He will renew us, day by day. Hunt.Share.Live   server information proxy server ....

Work

“The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take are of it.”                  -Genesis 2:15 Work. For many people this is one of the worst four-letter words a person can use. We grumble, complain, and mope many of our days through what should be one of the greatest blessings we have ever received. That’s right, I said it: Work is a blessing! Sure, sometimes you may have to do something you don’t really want to do. For a plumber that may mean sharing space with rattlesnakes. For a lawyer that might mean long hours of research. For a janitor it may mean vacuuming. For a farmer it may mean laying poly-pipe. For a minister it may mean a late evening hospital visit. You get the idea. There is always at least one activity that seems to be the epitome of what makes our work unbearable. But God did not create work to be punishment. In fact, God created mankind so that we could work and take care of what He had created. So tonight when you go in for the night shift, or tomorrow when you head in to complete whatever work lies before you, remind yourself of this one simple truth: Work is a blessing. Will you face whatever work you are blessed to do with gratitude toward God for the ability and the opportunity to work? High Plains Waterfowl Hunt. Share....

Are you an Alien?

Are you an Alien? Not this fictional picture but the kind that the Apostle Peter wrote about.  A charge to live life differently. One who doesn’t really belong here.  Not home yet. “Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul.  Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.”  1 Peter 2:11-12 In the world, you have a difficult task to live differently.  With all the norms available, that narrow path gets smaller and smaller.  Decide today to walk in such a manner that forces the world to question IF you really belong here. And God will get the glory. Until that day, Press On!   dns information...

Forever

Forever. “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For everything in the world-the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does- comes not from the Father but from the world.  The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”   1 John 2:15-17 What lasts forever? Well, the man who does the will of God. Does your life focus on the will of God?  If not, think differently today. All the things of this world will pass away. Only the things of Christ will last. Exposed.

Are you exposed? “This is the verdict:  Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.  Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.  But whoever lives by truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”  John 3:19-21 Living in a right manner allows life to be lived wide-open.  Nothing to hide.  Nothing to fear.  Truth is such a powerful testimony that God alone gets the credit. If you love light, live it.  Remember the truths of the old children’s song?  Hide it under a bushel, NO! Let you light shine.  For all men to see and recognize the Glories of God.
