Brian Womack is the founder of High Plains Waterfowl. He’s as rooted in Arkansas as any cypress living in the timber clad backwater bayous. His journey began early as he honed guiding skills in the hallowed grounds of Bayou Meto. From there, Brian lead a successful outfitting operation in the duck factories of Saskatchewan, Canada.
The hunting was epic, but something was missing, and it was evident.
“I began to notice that my heart wasn’t settled. We were killing ducks in epic numbers, but it was losing its meaning and I knew there had to be more. Staring through the windshield on the mind-numbing trek home from North Dakota, I had stopped in Nebraska on an old country road, and it was in that moment, standing in a that Nebraska corn field, when God gave me the vision for High Plains Waterfowl. He attached that vision to a call to come home to the timber. He changed my story, taking me from being an outfitter, to a man who was re-purposed to provide an environment where men could come here on a duck hunt, but leave different, leave changed. That’s our story, and we tell it everyday.”
Holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, a Master of Theology from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the zeal of a visionary, Brian shares his heart through personal experience, grand adventures, and the hope of Christ.
Brian lives in Saint Charles with his wife, Kristi, and their children Avery, Drake, Wyatt, and Emory.
